Welcome.

Welcome to a new issue of MIP Technologies Newsletter.

Pittcon is over and we are very pleased about the show. We thank everyone who visited our booth at Pittcon and hope that you have received the feed-back you requested from us.

In this issue of the Newsletter you can read about a new product for selective extraction of the banned antibiotic Chloramphenicol. If you order before June 1st you will get a 10% discount. You can also read about our new screening service, ExploraSep™ where we rapidly and economically can find a selective separation material for your compound of choice. If you want to know about the progress in peptide and protein imprinting there is an article about that.

If you will attend Analytica don't miss the opportunity to visit our booth. You can register for a personal meeting and you can also register to win an ipod nano, 2 Gbyte, mp3 player just by clicking on the Analytica banner.

I hope that you enjoy our Newsletter and I am happy to receive any feed-back.

An improved Solid-phase Extraction Product for the banned Antibiotic Chloramphenicol

We are launching a new solid-phase extraction product specific for extraction of Chloramphenicol, at the Analytica show in Munich, April 25-28. With this selective SPE phase Chloramphenicol is extracted efficiently and rapidly, improving considerably on existing methods. Furthermore, detection limits well below the minimum required performance limit (MRPL) for Chloramphenicol are achieved, enhancing the reliability of the detection and ensuring improved food safety and quality.

ExploraSep™ screening service utilizing MIP 'cross reactivity'

We offer a new screening concept where we screen your analyte against a continuously evolving library of molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) sorbents having a range of functional characteristics. Depending on the solvent used during the interaction MIPs can be highly selective towards the imprinted molecule or show a broader cross-reactivity with other compounds which possess the same or similar chemical substructures or functionalities. Read more about this service as well as examples of MIP 'cross-reactivity' given in the literature.

Imprinting of peptides and proteins

Imprinting of peptides and proteins has been of long standing interest since this class of macromolecule represents one of the most technically challenging targets of the molecular imprinting method. Read more about the current status of protein and peptide imprinting.
